Obituary of Dale James Lozon
Lozon, Dale James
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of a most cherished husband, father and grandfather.
Dale James Lozon, with his family by his side, died peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Thursday, August 6, 2020 in his 80th year.
Dale was born October 13, 1939 in Chatham. He was the son of the late John & Phyllis (nee Emery) Lozon. Step-son of the late Glen Wilson.
Devoted husband of 57 years to Irene (nee Lusk) Lozon.
Beloved father to Michael (Candace) of Thorold, Kerry (Michael) of Belle River and Jim (Ruth) of Calgary.
Dedicated Grampa to Hayley (Michael), Samuel & Benjamin. Dear step-grandfather to Jessica, Brandie (Dan) & Aspen, Brooke & Nathan.
Kind brother to Fran (Jack) Fitzgerald, and brother-in-law to Pat Lozon. Predeceased by sister Agnes (Larry) Brake, and brother Floyd Lozon.
Dale retired as a Quality Control Technician from Siemens after 30 years of service. He and Irene enjoyed many years of travel in their retirement. He was an active adherent of Sprucedale United Church. Dale was an avid and devout golfer. He could be found on the course most days and in all weather, getting the most out of his Annual Membership. He was also an accomplished woodworker. His fine craftsmanship will always be treasured by his family.
Dale will always be remembered for his tremendous energy, determined spirit and devotion to his family.
Heartfelt thanks to our wonderful neighbours and community for their prompt action and assistance. Deep gratitude to the First Responders, ER and ICU staff, Dr. Newell and Dr. Khot at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for their kindness and compassion.
