Obituary of John Schaffer
Peacefully in his sleep at the age of 92, John Schaffer passed away at Chatham-Kent Hospital after a lengthy battle with Heart Disease .
Beloved husband of Betty (nee Gillard) for 61 years.
Loving father of George, Mark (Brenda), Faith.
Caring grandpa of Morgan, Avery, Bennet, Darian, Devon, Jeremiah, Avery, Alyssa.
Great-grandpa of Scarlette.
Brother to Elsie (Lloyd) Wilker. He will be missed by his niece Kim and nephew David.
Predeceased by his daughter, Michelle.
John was a business man through and through, owning and running both Schaffer's TV Service and Schaffer's Lawn Service. His biggest passion was fishing and he was very involved in minor league hockey.
Cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at a later date. Interment will be in Duart Cemetery.
The family has asked that any donations in memory of John be made to the London Health Sciences Foundation - London Regional Cancer Program, 747 Baseline Road East, London, Ontario, N6C 2R6.
