It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Alex Jamieson at Riverview Gardens on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the age of 87.

Born in Chatham, Alex was the son of the late William and Margaret (Snelgrove) Jamieson.

Beloved husband of 49 years to Thelma Jamieson (nee Gall) (formerly Pattison).

Loving father of Julie Hessey (Rob) of London, Jacquie Jamieson of Kingston, Jennifer Stuart (Keith) of Kingston, Brad Pattison (June) of Windsor, Heather Scott (Jim) of Kingsville and Brooks Pattison of Windsor.

Proud Grandpa to 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Brother-in-law of Bessie Schram (late Frank) of Norwood, Marg Chapman (Brock) of Chatham, Jim Gall (late Sonya) of Chatham, Leitha Comiskey (Joe) of Chatham and Linda Vanstone (Jim Becker) of Waterloo.

Also missed by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Alex retired from the C&O Railroad in 1995 after 41 years of service, at which time he and Thelma started Aaron Express Delivery which they operated for 5 years. Alex and Thelma enjoyed travelling after retirement.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 1:00 - 2:30pm. Those planning to attend are required to register online at (https://signup.com/go/jpTCRsT) or by phoning the Funeral Home at 519-351-2040. The Bereavement Authority have mandated that all attendees must wear a mask. A Private Service will be Live-streamed at 3:00pm on the Funeral Home website.
