MACLACHLAN, Donna Jean...
Donna Jean MacLachlan, beloved wife of the late Richard MacLachlan (2006), passed away at Riverview Gardens, Chatham on January 11th, 2021 at the age of 92.
Donna was born in Chatham, the daughter of Leslie (1932) and Dorothy Britton (nee Owen) (1928). Lovingly raised by her late maternal grandparents William (1958) and Eva (nee Gough) (1967) Owen.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda and her husband Don Dwyer of Ajax, Diane and her husband Tim Gordon of Chatham and one son Rob MacLachlan and his wife Pamela Blondia of Wallaceburg. She loved her grandchildren and will be missed by Trevor (Megan) Hiltz of British Columbia, Ryan, Kristyn and Ethan Dwyer of Ajax, Sarah Blondia-MacLachlan of London, Emily Blondia-MacLachlan of Wallaceburg and step-granddaughter Ashley Gordon (Phil) of Glencoe. Loving great-grandma to Violet and Leo.
Donna is also survived by one sister-in-law Elsie Lou MacLachlan and a niece Nancy and her husband Mike Berry of Chatham.
Donna was a member of St. Andrews United Church, U.C.W, Friendship Club, Active Lifestyle Center and Kiwanis Club of Chatham-Kent.
Donna began her secretarial career at 16 – secretary to Supervisor of the Steno Department at Libby, McNeill & Libby, switchboard operator to Office Manager at Western Equipment Ltd., stay-at-home Mom for 15 years, returning to work as an Administrative Secretary for the Kent County Board of Education for 20 years, retiring at age 65.

Due to COVID-19, a private family visitation and service will be taking place Thursday January 14th, 2021 at McKinlay Funeral Home, Chatham. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
