Suddenly at home in Chatham on Friday January 15th, 2021, Thomas George Mitchell passed away at the age of 70 after a lengthy illness.
Beloved husband of almost 50 years to Vicky Mitchell (nee Van De Moortele).
Loving father to Tim (Danielle) Mitchell, Daniel (Melissa) Mitchell, Marcy (Tim) Vander Gaag.
Papa to Reese, Hallie, Beckem, Jay, Laurel, Fysher, Bradley, Curtis,Willem and great-grandson Kyson.
Brother to Barb, Wanda, Dawn, Fred, Mark and Rose.
Predeceased by his parents, George Mitchell and Audrey Smith (nee Banner) and sister Nancy.
Tom loved hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved his family. He will be missed for his outgoing nature and extreme kindness.
Thank you to all of those at Bayshore Health Care, as well as all of the doctors, nurses and all those in between who went above and beyond assisting Tom in his last few weeks.
Due to COVID-19, a private family visitation and service will take place on Tuesday, January 19th, 2021 at McKinlay Funeral Home, Chatham. Interment in Arnold Cemetery, Chatham, to follow.
Donations in memory of Tom may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
