Obituary of Audrey Kraemer

KRAEMER: Audrey Marie (nee Curtis) -

A resident of Chatham and formerly of Akron, Ohio, and Burlington, Ontario, Audrey Kraemer passed peacefully at home on February 8, 2021 shortly after her 91st birthday.

Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick on February 5, 1930, Audrey was the daughter of the late Harding and Marion (Dibb) Curtis. She was born with a warm and loving personality and was a good friend to everyone she met.

Audrey was the beloved wife of Bert Kraemer for 68 years. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Marion (James) Treece, and has been reunited with her two sons, David (2008) and Richard (2017).

Audrey was the proud Grandma of eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson Joseph, and brothers-in-law, James and Joseph Kraemer and their spouses.

Audrey is also deeply missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Audrey loved teaching math to special needs students, spent countless hours as a volunteer, and enjoyed ballet dancing and ice skating. Her exceptional talent was knitting and crocheting various items for not just family and friends, but she also made and donated hundreds of baby blankets for many area hospitals in Canada and the USA.

A Private Family interment will be held at St. Anthony Cemetery with a Memorial Mass to be held at later date.
