Obituary of Gayle Louise McClintock

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on February 9, 2021, Gayle Louise McClintock passed away following her brief battle with cancer at the age of 75.  Beloved wife of Derek McClintock.  Loving mother of Andrew (Karen) McClintock and Matthew McClintock (Svetlana Jaraud).  Treasured grandmother of Jenna Cumming (Derek Manders), Jessica Cumming (Josh McNally) and Megan McClintock.  Cherished great-grandmother of Macy and Millie.  Pre-deceased by her parents Joe and Kay Knight and by her brother Ed Knight (Elaine).  She is survived by her sisters Jo-Anne Geris, June Knight, Barb Kilback (Dave), Marilyn Dickerson (Phil) and brother Gary Knight.

The oldest of seven children, Gayle grew up in London, Ontario.  An excellent scholar, she turned her passion for learning into a teaching career where she touched the lives of countless students in the Wallaceburg area.  She spent her retirement years travelling the world, volunteering at local events, making beautiful quilts, mastering crafts and puzzles, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Gayle was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She will be missed by everyone who knew her and loved her.  The family wishes to thank the Chatham-Kent Palliative Support Team, and the Cancer Care Centres at London Victoria Hospital and Chatham Kent Health Alliance for their support and compassionate care.

Donations made in memory of Gayle to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation, Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or your local Salvation Army would be kindly appreciated.
