Obituary of Eleanor June Hanuszak-Hodulik

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Eleanor June Hanuszak-Hodulik (nee Maine) at Maple City Residence on Friday, April 2nd, 2021 at the age of 97.

Cherished daughter of the late Jack and Lillian Maine (nee Legue).

Loving and proud mother of Joyce Robertson, Bonnie Gillanders, Gary (Suzie) Hanuszak, Don (Cathy) Hanuszak, and Dwayne (Adele) Hanuszak.

Forever missed by her 14 grandchildren Todd, Dawn, Ryan, Kristen, Tammy, Terry, Tanya, Dawn, M’Liss, Rob, Tara, Katelyn, Rachel, and Kris. Also missed by 22 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by her son-in-law Mike Robertson, daughter-in-law Carol Hanuszak, as well as her first husband John Hanuszak, and second husband Rudy Hodulik.

Mom was the last surviving member of her family. Predeceased by her brothers Stanley and Gerald Maine, and her sisters Gwen Hanuszak, Dorothy Kouyzer, Maxine DeKoning, Virginia Graham, and Barb Bowes.

Mom was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church, and the Independent Order of Foresters. She worked hard all her life, and made family and friends a priority, which included fun times at Legion dances and spending time at the cottage in Rondeau.

“Ellie” worked at K-Mart for many years. Upon retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family,  her summers camping at Wildwood and Rondeau Shores (dancing on the patio), as well as her many winter trips South.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Private Family Service will be held. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
