Martin, Joseph "Vianney" -
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Joseph 'Vianney' Martin, on June 6th, 2021 at his residence with family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Ann Marie Martin (nee Doyle). Father to Lou Ann Robert (Joel) and Vincent Martin (Sharron).
Pepere to Jaclyn Beuglet (Ryan), Nathan Robert, Kristen Martin (Tim Pickering), and Keith Martin (Maddie Merner).
Grand Pepere to Rowen and Ryerson Beuglet.
Predeceased by parents Joseph and Dorothy Martin (Robert). Survived by siblings Joanne Griffore (late Stanley 1994), Lucille DeSmit (Jack), Rose Mae Row (Allan), Allan Martin (Anna Marie). Brother in laws, Beverly Doyle (Janet) and Michael Doyle.
Vianney was a life-long farmer who enjoyed riding on a tractor and crop touring. He loved listening and singing to classic country music. He enjoyed playing music with his band members, The Rythmaires for 17 years and singing a few tunes for his grandchildren over the years.
The family would like to thank doctors Jones and Ahmed for their care and support as well as VON nurse Mary-Beth Cadotte and PSW Sylvie.
A private family visitation and service will take place at McKinlay Funeral Home. A private burial will occur at Immaculee Conception Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Vianney to the Wheels of Hope Program through the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. The Wheels of Hope Program is used for helping cancer patients in need of driving support to and from their appointments. To donate, write a cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society with Vianney's name and Wheels of Hope in the memo section.
