A resident of Dover Centre, Edward passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Chatham Retirement Resort at the age of 89.
Born on March 29, 1932 in Dover Township, he was the son of the late Eddie and Celeste (nee Demars) Tetrault.
Loving husband of the late Pauline (nee Boyle) (2014).
Father of Lynne (John) Compton of Chatham, Laurie (Mark) Burke of Grande Pointe, Lucie (John) Cooper - McTavish of Ridgetown, Joanne (late Bill) Hart of Tilbury, Rick (Mira Tepsic) Tetrault of Grande Pointe, Judy (Richard) Theriault of Halifax, N.S., and Jennifer (Jason) Pinsonneault of Mattawa.
Papa T of Derek (Suzie), Kevin, and Beth (Jeramy) Compton; Bryan (Holly), Karyn (Kyle Jubenville) Burke, and Peter (Kit) Cooper; Michelle (Jason) Michaud; Jesse and Erin Tetrault; Alex (Angelena), Ben, and Cameron Theriault; Joshua (Lorraine), and Joey Hainge; Alysun Pinsonneault; Step-Grandchildren, Shannon Sturdevant; Jim (Celina), and Jennifer (Greg) Land; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Brother of Theresa (late Dorey) Sylvain.
Brother-in-law of Bev and Barb Boyle.
Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by son-in-law Bill Cooper and grandsons Ted Burke, Sawyer Tetrault and infant Jordan Tetrault.
Family invite relatives and friends to visit at the funeral home between the hours of 5:00pm and 8:00pm on Wednesday, July 14th, 2021 at McKinlay Funeral Home, Chatham. Due to current COVID restrictions, those wishing to attend must sign up prior to entering the funeral home, which can be done at the funeral home website or by calling the funeral home at 519-351-2040. Cremation to follow. Edward will be laid to rest with Pauline at St. Phillippe Cemetery, Grande Pointe, at a later date.
Those wishing to make donations in memory of Edward are asked to consider the Sawyer Tetrault Memorial Scholarship Fund at ESPC.
