Barbra May Smith, also known as Barbie, of Chatham passed away on Sunday, July 11th 2021 at the Chatham Kent Hospice after a prolonged illness.
Beloved wife of Rick AKA Reeco VanSickle.
Mother of Brian (David Corbett) Birkby, Kris (Heather) Birkby and Lynn Marie Birkby.
Step-mother to Jeff Read, Bill (Shelly) VanSickle, John (Wendy) VanSickle
Loving grandmother of Justin and Katherine and step-grandmother to Alicia, Elijah, Alexis, Mya, Kylie, Isabella, Tyson and Christian.
Predeceased by her brother Charles "Chuck" and parents Donald and Selena Knight.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Chatham Kent Hospice for their excellent care during Barbra's illness.
Family invite relatives and friends to visit at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, between the hours of 10:00am and 12:00pm on Friday, July 16, 2021. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm, officiated by David Lewis. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, those wishing to attend either event are asked to sign up by going to the funeral home website or calling the funeral home at 519-351-2040. All those in attendance must also wear a mask. Barbra will be reunited with her parents at Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
