Obituary of Jerry Michael Goodal

Jerry Michael Goodal passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at his residence in Morpeth, Ontario, on the morning of July 19th, 2021, in his 81st year. He is survived by his wife Carolyne (Turner, née Harrett), his son Chris (Allison), and his daughter Terri (Scott Daly) as well as his stepdaughters Cindy (Rick) and Candace (Jason MacLeod). 

Jerry’s sense of humour will be missed by his grandkids Austin (Allyssa), Joe (Brooke), Sophie, Vance, Macey (John), Jennessa, Carson, Justin, great grandsons Max and Barrett, and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. 

Jerry was an avid gardener, enthusiastic golfer, and voracious reader. He was the youngest of 8 children from the Goodal family that came to Ridgetown from Slovakia in 1939. Jerry is survived by his eldest sister Louise. 

A tremendous thank you to the Chatham-Kent VON staff, notably Jon Ann and Karen, C.K.H.A. Cancer Clinic, Nurse Practitioner Willi, and Family Physician Dr. Parambil. 

Cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown, on Friday, July 30th, 2021, from 10am until 12 noon. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 12:30pm, with interment in Dresden Cemetery.

The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated that all in attendance must wear a mask.
