A resident of Chatham, formerly of Wallaceburg, Peter De Heer passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with family at his side on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

Beloved friend of Priscilla King.

Survived by daughters Joanne VandenBogaerde (Michael), Brenda (Harold Meier) and David De Heer (Karen), 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, sister Janna Maaten (late Pieter, 2010) and nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by one great-grandson and his brother Hendrik "Hank" (2002) (late Hilda, 2007).

Born in Capelle Aan Den Ijssel, The Netherlands, Peter was the son of the late John (1960) and Johanna (1945) (Schipper) de Heer., 

Peter worked as a general contractor around Wallaceburg and surrounding area and townships. He installed sun rooms for Weatherwall in Wallaceburg for over 15 years.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street Chatham on Thursday, August 5, 2021 from 10:00 - 11:30am. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
