On August 11, 2021 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in Chatham, Thomas Earl Austin passed away at the age of 92.
Cherished husband of the late Aileen (2019) for 68 years.
Loving father to Tim Austin (Debbie), Perry Austin, Kelly Klinard (Dan) and the late Mark Austin (2014).
Father-in-law to Julie Austin.
Proud Grandpa to Michael Austin (Sarah), Angela Elley (Scott), Katie Evans (Shad), Heather Klinard (Paul), Greg Klinard, Laura Klinard, Paige Austin and Paula Austin.
Great-Grandpa to Sophie, Madeline, Dylan, Colton, Wynn, Gray and Crew.
Brother to Marney Moore.
Predeceased by siblings Bud Austin and Ellen Jane Chivers.
Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Tom, along with Aileen, owned and operated Tom's Appliances of Chatham, now a third generation family business. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church.
A private Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 145 Victoria Avenue, Chatham, on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
Donations in memory of Tom to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
