Obituary of Dan Kelly
KELLY: Bruce Daniel "Dan" -
With profound sadness, the family announces the sudden passing of Bruce Daniel "Dan" Kelly on Sunday, October 24th at the age of 68. Cherished husband to his Soulmate and wife Susan of 45 years. Beloved father to Kerigan, Brynne (Paul), Shea (Patrick) and Grampa/Best Buddy to Wesley. Predeceased by his parents Bruce and Margaret Kelly. Favourite son-in-law of Dorothy Fisher and the late William. Cherished brother of Patrick (Brenda) and the late Michael and James (Sandra). Brother-in-law to Janice and Douglas Chapple, Peter and Ann Fisher, Cyndy and Marv Bond and Margaret and Ed Wilmott. He will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Dan was born and raised in Chatham, following in his Father's footsteps to become a Trucker for over 50 years. In his retirement, he found great joy in cooking for his family (as well as eating their leftovers) and hosting bonfires in the backyard when all his girls came home to visit. He had an unrivaled passion for the game of golf and felt truly blessed with all the friendships he gained while playing his (ideally) 72 holes per week. Dan and Sue had many travels over the years and he leaves behind wonderful memories, photos and friends. He always made it known to his loved ones that he lived each day without regret, and that he was so happy with how his life turned out. A gentle giant, Dan was so proud of his family and he always said how fortunate he was to have us all. We are the lucky ones who got to spend our lives with the most selfless, generous, and kind man we've ever known.
