Obituary of Doris Bedford
BEDFORD: Doris Marion (nee Armaly) -
A lifelong resident of Chatham, Doris Bedford passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Monday, December 13, 2021 at the age of 87.
Born in Windsor, Doris was the daughter of the late David and Marie (Bondy) Armaly. Predeceased by her step-mother Alva Armaly (2012).
Loving mother of Steven Seed of Wallaceburg, Brenda Simmons (Michael), Darlene Milord (Chris Reaume) and Scott Seed (Sarah), all of Chatham.
Proud Grandma of Justine Atkins (Ernie), Tyler Milord, Nicholas Milord (Hiliary); Elisha Davis (Jared); Christopher Seed, Cameron Seed and Austin Seed (Danielle Tofflemire).
Great-Grandma to Harper Atkins, Kane Atkins; Brennen Milord; Alora Milord, Bodhi Milord, Hayden Davis and Troy Davis.
Dear sister to Robert Armaly (late Donna, 1995) David Armaly (late Nancy, 2005) and Rosemary Kalfayan (Jerry).
Predeceased by her siblings Shirley Lowes (2019) and Betty Jean Armaly (1951).
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Doris retired from Southwest Regional Centre after many years of service.
She enjoyed her time at the casino, Bingo and playing cards with her friends at the Grand Retirement Village. She was grateful for the support she received from her Al Anon friends.
As per Doris' wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 6:00 - 8:00pm. Those planning to attend are required to register online at (https://signup.com/go/FedNMuD) or by phoning the Funeral Home. Please note the Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that all attendees wear a mask.
A Private Family Service will be live-streamed at 11:00am on Friday, December 17, 2021 on the Funeral Home website. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
Donations made in memory of Doris to the Lung Association or Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
