A resident of Chatham, Bill Whittington passed away at the Village on the Ridge on January 4, 2022 at the age of 92.
Born in Chatham, Bill was the son of the late Orville and Wanda (Fair) Whittington.
Beloved husband of the late June (nee Ralph) (2014).
Dear father of David Whittington and partner Laura Morgan of London, Jeff Whittington and his wife Cathy of Toronto. Proud grandfather of Spencer Whittington and Adam Whittington of Toronto.
Bill was predeceased by his sister Jean Colwell, brothers Jack and Richard (survived by his sister-in-law Katherine Whittington nee Jenner).
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday January 7, 2022 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Those planning to attend are required to register online at (https://signup.com/go/oJUzHHc) or by phoning the Funeral Home. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that all attendees wear a mask. A Funeral Service to celebrate Bill's life will be held in the Funeral Home on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Those planning to attend are required to register online at (https://signup.com/go/PLvvrOP). Please return to this site if you wish attend the service. Cremation to follow with interment at Botany Cemetery at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Bill to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer society would be appreciated.
