It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Jerome “Jerry” Etienne Vanderiviere on Friday, January 14th, 2022. Jerry was born on September 12, 1938 to the late Remi and Germaine (nee Vanderjeugt) Vanderiviere.
Survived by his loving wife Jean (nee DeGelas). They were married on June 18, 1960.
Cherished father of Chris and Shirley Vanderiviere and Keith and Vicki Vanderiviere. Loving grandfather to Kory and Kelsy, Kirk, Owen and Morgan and one great-grandchild, Noah.
Predeceased by siblings Jeanette and Rene, John and Gloria, and Robert and Clara.
Remembered by in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Jerry retired from Siemens Canada after 30 years of service. During his retirement he enjoyed golf, playing cards and was a true Toronto Maple Leaf’s fan.
A very heartfelt thanks to sister-in-law, Mary VanDeHogen for all the love and support.
A private family funeral service will take place on Monday, January 17th, 2022 at McKinlay Funeral Home. 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON N7L 3K6.
