QUINN: Jeanette (nee Schives) -

A former resident of Chatham, Jeanette Quinn passed away with family at her side on Saturday, February 12, 2022, just before her 98th birthday.

Born in Tilbury East Township, Jeanette was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Grant) Schives.

Beloved wife of the late Rodney Quinn.

Loving mother of Janice Forget (late Pat), Becky Harris (late Don) and Marion Quinn.

Proud Grandma to Tom Pacque (Christine Knowles), Michael Brundritt (Kim McLean), Jason Martin (Maria), Daniel Martin and Jennifer Eddy (Derek).

Great-Grandma to Brandon Souligny, Abigayle Fairbairn (TJ Wilson), Evan Brundritt, Tyler Martin, Nathan Martin, Sabrina Martin and Grace Martin.

Predeceased by her great-grandson Kyle Brundritt and his mother Lacie.

Predeceased by her siblings Grant Schives (late Bertha), Gwendolyn Henderson (late Ken), Jack Schives (late Helen), Gerald Schives and Mary Ballard (late Bud).

Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Born and raised in Valetta, Jeanette came to Chatham in 1940.

She was a senior clerk at Union Gas for over 20 years. She was a member of the former St. James Presbyterian Church, where she served on the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Golden Genies Retirees Social Club and the Rose City Ramblers Social Club through Union Gas.

Jeanette enjoyed swimming, traveling and family 'get togethers'.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Those planning to attend are required to register online at ( or by phoning the Funeral Home. A Private Service will be live-streamed on Wednesday at 1:30pm on the Funeral Home website.

Interment to follow at Stewart Cemetery, Valetta.
