Obituary of Carol Ann McAllister
A resident of Chatham, Carol Ann McAllister passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the age of 78.
Born in Chatham, Carol was the daughter of the late Ross and Pauline (nee Plato) McAllister.
She is reunited with her sister Joan McAllister (2005) and her twin sister, Ruth Ann Lavery (2015).
Dearly missed by her brother-in-law. Gary Lavery.
Survived by cousins June Levy, Keith McAllister (Paulette), Ken McAllister (Lois), Joy Ben (Ed), and Georgie Snooks. Also missed by many friends and extended family.
Carol worked for Union Gas for over 30 years and with Navistar prior to. She was a dedicated member of St. Paul's Congregational Church, playing guitar with her late sisters and enjoyed scrapbooking.
The McAllister family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Chatham-Kent Hospice for their caring and compassionate nature during Carol's stay. A special thanks to Stacey from VON for going out of your way and going beyond the call of duty to ensure Carol was kept comfortable.
As per Carol's wishes, a Private Graveside Interment will take place at Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate.
Donations made in memory of Carol to the Chatham Foodbank, St. Paul's Congregational, the Pet and Wildlife Rescue or to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
