Obituary of Mary Richardson
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Mary Richardson on March 15th, 2022 at Hospice Wellington after a long battle with kidney disease.
Mary was born on August 21, 1934 to the late Eric Stanley (1979) and Elizabeth Harriet Highstead (nee Johnson) (2002).
Loving mother to Scott (Michele), Craig (Paula), Neil (Tricia) and Megan MacNeil (Dean).
Proud Grandmother to Brittany, Erin, Lauren, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Abigayle, Graham, Elizabeth and Eric.
She lived for her grandchildren and enjoyed watching all of their varied activities. Mary was an RN who loved community Nursing and worked most of her career until retirement with the VON. She was active in the community volunteering with the Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. Hobbies were playing with and loving all the family dogs, traveling, reading, knitting, playing bridge and being a lifelong learner.
Following Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Private Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or Hospice Wellington - Guelph are appreciated by the family.
