A resident of Chatham, Dorothy Brown passed away at home on March 21, 2022 at the age of 91.
Born in Chatham, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Leslie and Rose (nee Moon) Owen.
Beloved wife of 71 years to the late Clifford Brown (2020).
Loving mother to Mark Brown and Susan (Stan) Botterill.
Grandma to Trevor (Carli), Jessica (Bryan), Eric (Anastasia), Sarah (Jeff), Jaclyn (Andrew), Stanley (Donna), Tammy (Scott), Tina (Andrew), Corey (Krista) and Joel (Sarah)
Great-grandmother to 20 great-grandchildren.
Dear sister-in-law of Jeanette Owen, Ila May Johnson (Murray). Pre-deceased by her brothers Bill Owen (Alea) and Norman Owen; brother's-in-law Chuck Brown, Doug Brown (Marilyn "Butch"); sister's-in-law June Barnes (Bill).
Dorothy will also be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Dorothy enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She took the greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Dorothy's wishes cremation has taken place. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery on March 30, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.
Donations made in memory of Dorothy to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
