McLeod: Donna Jean (Maine)
A resident of Chatham, Donna McLeod passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the age of 81.
Born in Chatham, Donna was the daughter of the late Gerald and Loretta (Eagen) Maine.
Beloved wife of 58 years to her late husband John (2020).
Loving Mother to Lori, Michael (late Barb), Teri (Matt), and Tami (Barry).
Proud Grandmother to Ryan (Kristina), Amanda (Chris), Kevin, the late Amber Rae, Daniel (Treasure) and Katelyn.
Great Grandmother to Ayden, Jacob, Grayce, Dakota and Jayce.
Dear sister to Jackie Maine (Helen), the late Cheryl Norris (the late Ray), Mickie Sans (Don), and Larry Maine (the late Louanne).
Sister-in-law to Gloria and predeceased by Richard, Patricia, Linda and Ronald.
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Donna retired as a teacher, working while putting herself through summer school to obtain her teachers degree. She enjoyed reading and camping. Growing up in Kent Bridge, she spent time in Knox Presbyterian Church playing the organ. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Donna always made sure to end her conversations with "I love you more".
As per Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Remembering When... will take place at the Kent Belgium Dutch Club in Chatham on April 30, 2022 from 12-4pm.
Donations made in memory of Donna can be made to the Chatham Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated.
