DeWael Judith "Judi" Gail
Judi DeWael passed away unexpectedly at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday, April 18th 2022 at the age of 70.
Judi was born in Chatham and is predeceased by her mother Doris Lapp and brother Tom Lapp. She will be remembered as a loving mother to her two children Jeff DeWael (Shelly) and Jenn DeWael (Don LeBlanc); proud grandmother to her three grandchildren Kyrstyn DeWael, Rebecca DeWael and Zachary DeWael. She will be missed by her brother Richard Lapp (Dee Jordan) along with her other family and friends.
Judi retired from Riverview Gardens (Thamesview Lodge) after many years of dedicated service as a dietary aide. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, gardening, listening to country music, watching Nascar, and she would never turn down a cold beer. Judi had a kind heart, a witty sense of humour and an infectious smile that will be greatly missed.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday April 23, 2022, at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Judi are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
