Hanchar: Michael (Mike) -
A resident of Tilbury, Michael “Mike” Hanchar passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on June 9, 2022 at the age of 80.
Born in Insinger, Mike was the son of the late William and Irene Hanchar (nee Rusnak).
Dear brother to Ernie (Lorraine) Hanchar, Sylivia (Ron) Hainstock, John Hanchar, Lawrence Hanchar and Lynda Storozuk.
Predeceased by sister in law Mary Hanchar and infant nephew Blaine.
Loving father to Michelle Lynn Hanchar of Chatham, ON;
Grandfather to Autumn, Pursayas, Kentyn, Zander.
Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mike was a jack of many trades- lumberjack, light bulb sales, and tool industry to name a few. His love was working at the farm, as a cash crop farmer.
His hobbies included fishing, polka dancing, listening to Ukranian music and Johnny Cash.
Family to receive friends on Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Funeral service information will be available shortly.
Donations made in memory of Mike to the Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
