Obituary of Domenico Amorini

AMORINI: Domenico -

A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Pickering, Domenico Amorini passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, June 13, 2022 at the age of 90.

Born in Bucharest, Romania, and growing up in Italy, Domenico was the son of the late Giovanni and Eliza (Schiaparelli) Amorini.

Beloved husband of 64 years to Maria Amorini (nee Barel).

Loving father of Corrado Amorini (2000), Robert Amorini and Lisa Amorini.

Proud Nonno to Stefanie, Christine, Joey and Michael.

Great-grandfather to Jackson and Brooklyn.

Dear brother to the late Giovanni Amorini (Winnie), the late Romano Amorini (Filomena) and Ralph Amorini (Gulia).

Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Domenico was a hard worker, working as a plater in Toronto for many years, eventually establishing his own family business. He was a devoted and generous grandfather and loved being around people. Domenico was gifted at Bocci Ball, having won numerous trophies through his social club in Pickering. He had a playful sense of humour and enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Families Home (273 Horizon Lane, Chatham) on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. 

A Livestream of the Celebratory Tree Planting will be available between 2:00 and 3:00 pm at the Link Below. Those who are not able to be in attendance, in person or virtually, may watch the Tree Planting at a later date at the Link Below as well.
