Obituary of Arthur V. Brown

BROWN: Arthur V. -

A resident of Ridgetown, and formerly of Wallaceburg and R.R. # 2 Blenheim, Art Brown passed away suddenly on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the age of 75.

Born in Blenheim, Art was the son of the late Edgar and Mabel (Lindsay) Brown.

Beloved husband of 39 years to Betty Jean (nee Gawne).

Loving father of Dale Brown, the late Melissa Brown, Mark Raine (Tiffany), Brad Raine (Yuki) and Dustin Brown.

Proud Papa of many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dear brother to Valerie Holek (Brad) and George Brown (Margie).

Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Art started his career in plumbing, heating and air conditioning, working for his father, before going into business for himself. He also enjoyed his time with the Rondeau Rod and Gun Club, until a major stroke changed his world in 1998. During this time, Art's will and determination truly revealed itself, as he learned to do everything with his left side. Art later worked for Chatham-Kent Housing as a Building Attendant in Wallaceburg for over 10 years. He will be remembered for his work ethic, and his solid, grounded, quiet nature. Art was a role model to all who knew him and he maintained his independence right to the end.

In keeping with Art's wishes, his family will be remembering him privately.
