Plaunt, Della (nee Ames)
A resident of Chatham, Della Lola Plaunt passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 93.
She was the daughter of the late Frank & Margaret (nee Bowen) Ames.
Della will be reunited with her late husband, Donald Plaunt (2009).
Mother to Richard Plaunt and his wife Frances of Chatham. Predeceased by her son Randy Plaunt (2000), her daughter Judy Lucyk (1986) (the late Steve, 2017), and her daughter Patricia Boviz (2021) (the late Emil, 2017). Survived by her daughter-in-law, Catherine Plaunt and daughter Bonnie Henderson (Tom).
Proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her 12 siblings (Ames) from Haileybury area.
Missed by many nieces & nephews.
Della was an amazing cook and a devoted member of her church, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed to sew, shop, and garden.
The family to receive friends on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 10:00 am until a Memorial Service of Della's life at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Cremation has taken place.
In memory of Della, donations may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (cheques made out to Maplewood Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses).
