On Wednesday Aug 17 2022, the Lord took Home our Dear Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa in his 95th year.
He was born on February 10, 1928 in Warffum in the province of Groningen in the Netherlands.
Dad and Mom were engaged before he left for 2 years service in the Dutch military in the Indonesian war.
After returning home, Dad and Mom married March 18, 1952 and quickly emigrated to start a new life in Canada.
Dad was a great example of a Christian parent and was always thankful to the Lord for his life and family.
Dad loved the Lord and served faithfully in his Church, Christian School and community.
Clarence is reunited with his beloved wife of 65 years, the late Jane Dekker (nee Straatsma, 2017).
Beloved father of Jack († Jenny 1990) Dekker, Amy and George Hart, † Glenda Vriesema 2009, Gordon Dekker, Barbara († Richard 2013) VanderDeen, Ben and Sandy Dekker.
Loving grandpa to 21 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren, and excitedly expecting his first great great grandchild.
Predeceased by granddaughters Krista and Jessica and great grandchildren Jadyn, Rose and Eric.
Predeceased by brothers Henk, Jaap, Piet, GeertJan, and sisters Eef, Anneke.
Survived by sister Trijn, sisters-in-law Leny, Anneke, Tiny and brother-in-law Henk.
Interment to take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery at 11:00 am on Saturday Aug 20, 2022.
Family are to receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Grace Christian Reformed Church, 255 Tweedsmuir Ave West, Chatham from 12:00 pm until a Memorial Service of Clarence's life at 2:00 pm.
