Hunter, Trueman "TR"

A longtime resident of Raleigh Township, Trueman "TR" Hunter passed away with his family by his side at the London Health Sciences Centre - University Campus on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the age of 76.

He was the son of Doris Hunter (nee Stacey) & the late Trueman Hunter (2001).

TR will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 50 years (July 28, 1972), Linda "Cheata" (nee Belanger).

Dear father of Alanda Pritchard (David), Corbi Hunter-O'Rourke (Joe), Daloni Van Goethem (Brian), Trueman Hunter Jr.

Papa of Zoe, Zachary, Liam, Jack-Lynn, Riley, Ivan, & Troy.

Brother of Brenda DeNure, Elizabeth Walters & the late Stacey Hunter.

He is predeceased by his companion, Thunder and sadly missed by his side companion, Raleigh.

Missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

TR was the proud owner & operator of Clark Trenching for over 50 years. He is a lifelong Raleigh Township farmer and more recently in Fletcher. He could often be found feeding all wildlife and cutting wood around the farm. His smart-ass, witty and practical jokester personality will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was the strong yet silent type and his kind heart & generosity will be remembered by those he touched. His roots will always run deep on our family farm.

Family to receive friends on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Cremation to follow with Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery.

The family would like those attending visiting to dress as you would be if you'd be visiting him at the shop.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue or to a favourite rescue.
