Obituary of Tom (Smoke) Beckstead
A resident of Chatham, Tom (Smoke) Beckstead passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 70.
He was the son of the late Donald & Helen (nee Archer) Beckstead.
Remembered by his wife of 51 beautiful years, Fanny (Ruth Ann) Beckstead (nee Toll)
Father of Lee Beckstead (Suzanne) & Tanya Walters (Jeff).
Proud Papa of Kayla, Alex (Dylan), Parker, Keelan (Zoe), Lillee & Myah.
Predeceased by infant twin daughters, Elizabeth & Casey, his brother Sandy Beckstead, sister-in-law, Linda Beckstead, in-laws Jessie & Leonard Toll and brother-in-law, Dennis Toll.
Brother-in-law of Ron Toll (Dorian), Elinore Eckensviller (Larry), Case Toll (Nancy) and Deb Chapleau (Gary).
Missed by many nieces & nephews.
Tom retired from Ford Motor Company in Windsor after 35 years of Service. He played ball for many different teams and enjoyed his golf on Thursday night. Tom will be dearly missed by his dog Kouper.
Family to receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home. Cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
