Cherished daughter of Gail Giles and the late Willie Gaudette and stepfather Frank Giles.
Dear sister to James Miller.
Daughter-in-law to Orville Tetrault and the late Leona Tetrault.
Sister-in-law to David Tetrault (Diane Carey), Annita Zimmerman (Michael Pecaric), Angela Wheeler (Barry Denomme), the late Ronald Tetrault (Michele Howes), and the late Douglas Tetrault.
Niece to Judy (Jim) Daley, Jim (Eva) Boutilier, Denise Switzer, Vern (Clara) Parker, Leona (Wayne) Mackie, Leo (Nancy) Parker, and George Parker.
Missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Ruth began her career in the financial world, starting at the bottom, then soon after working herself up the corporate ladder. After such accomplishment came the love of her life, her husband, Don. Life will not be the same. Ruth and Don were soon married and began a life of adventure, new experiences and new businesses.
Ruth soon became the proud owner of a marina known as Cove Marina and a restaurant, Spooter’s now known as the Dockside in Lighthouse Cove. Ruth taught herself how to manage, run and operate a marina and restaurant all at the same time. Ruth succeeded! Boaters and customers came from all over to be part of the Jimmy Buffet parties, steak barbeques, chili cookoffs and so many more. Ruth became a pillar of the community at the Lighthouse Cove.
Then a precious gift came, her son Donald Jr. Don Jr. was truly the pudding in the pie. Ruth was over the moon with so much love and joy. Ruth had it all, a career, a husband, and exceptional son.
Throughout the years of marriage and motherhood, Ruth still managed to host elegant parties to include Christmas, galas, lobster fests, birthday parties, weddings, anniversaries for her family, friends and business associates. All were welcomed and no one was turned away.
Let’s not forget Ruth the kid at heart, ensuring all the nieces and nephews were all spoiled with gifts, treats and unforgettable memories.
Ruth has touched so many lives throughout her lifetime and shall not be forgotten, only missed for her kindness, thoughtfulness, dedication and devotion to life. Her memories shall be embedded in our lives forever.
