Obituary of Clara Demars
Demars: Clara Angela (nee Charron) -
A resident of Chatham, Clara Demars passed away at Riverview Gardens, Chatham on December 19, 2022 at the age of 72.
Born in Chatham, Clara was the daughter of the late Raymond and Josephine (nee Duquette) Charron.
Dear mother to Paul Demars (Jennifer) and Valerie Watts (Jason). Proud grandmother to Nicolas Demars (McKinnley) and Sara Demars; and great grandmother to Thomas.
Dear sister to Evelyn and the late Joe Parry, Marion and Wes Labadie, Lauretta and Barry Elsom, Victor and Brenda Charron. Sister-in-law to Fred Ward. Predeceased by her brothers-Romeo Charron, Oscar Charron and Gerald Charron. Predeceased by her sisters- Irene Ward, Kate Charron and May Sturdevant.
Proud godmother to Bradley Warnock.
Mom had a heart of gold, she loved her family more than life, but what brought her the most joy and happiness were her two grandkids, Nic and Sara. She beamed with pride and loved spending time with them every chance she had. Mom was a great homemaker and loved to sew and crochet. She was a great teacher, role model, and loved unconditionally, but most importantly she was a good listener. She gave great advice, kept us in line and kept her home running like a well oiled machine. Music was a big part of family and she always had the radio on in the kitchen and was humming or singing to her favourite country songs. Mom will be greatly missed, but she'll be forever in our hearts. We are grateful to have had a Mom like you.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service to celebrate Clara's life at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Ridgetown at a later date.
Memorial donations made in memory of Clara to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
