Obituary of Richard Isaacs
ISAACS: Richard Ernest "Rick" -
A resident of Chatham, Rick Isaacs passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on Monday, December 26, 2022 at the age of 72.
Born in Chatham, Rick was the son of the late Ernest and Doris (McGregor) Isaacs.
Beloved husband of 48 years to Vel (nee Sinclair).
Loving father to Heather Butts (Robert) and Brooke Bryce (Spencer).
Proud Grandpa to Ellawyn Butts.
Dear brother to Bill Isaacs (Jan), Evelyn Whitwham (Rob) and the late Robert Isaacs.
Brother-in-law to Norma Isaacs, Betty Caswell, Donna Parry (Paul), Jim Sinclair (Laurel) and Kim Vitek (Rob).
Special uncle to Trevor Isaacs, Kelly Isaacs, Matt Isaacs, Kevin Whitwham, Greg Whitwham, Robyn Adams, Pam Caswell, Matt Parry, Steven Sinclair, Spencer Sinclair and Katrina Vitek.
Rick farmed all of his life on the family farm in Dover Township. Rick worked at C.L. Benninger Farm Equipment before beginning his career at Kent and Essex Insurance, where he worked as an adjuster for many years.
Rick enjoyed bow hunting and growing pumpkins at "Grandpa and Ellawyn's Pumpkin Patch".
Rick will be remembered for his warm sense of humour and the love he had for his family.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 3:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00am on Saturday, December 31, 2022 with Rev. Jim Kettle officiating. The service will be live-streamed on the Funeral Home website. Cremation to follow.
Donations made in memory of Richard to the Canadian Cancer Society or Grace Christian Church would be appreciated.
