Bechard, Richard (Rick)
A resident of Chatham, Rick Bechard passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday, January, 25, 2023 at the age of 73.
He was the son of the late Leonard & Marie (nee Odette) Bechard.
Rick is lovingly reunited with his wife of 41 years, Mary Jane (nee Dulong, 2011).
Proud father of Angela Bechard & Ryan Bechard (Arletta).
Grandfather of Wesley Phinney, Grace Bechard & step-granddaughter Chrissy Wynn (Adam).
Great-grandfather of Axel Abbott-Phinney, Jordan Labovsky, & Kylan Brown.
Brother of Patty Bechard (the late Larry), Mike Bechard (Beverly), the late Brenda Caron, the late Wayne Bechard & Tracy Fowler (nee Bechard) (Jerome Goodreau).
Brother-in-law of Randy Dulong (Becky), Dan Dulong (Rose Marie), Cathy Laprise (Bob) & Richard Dulong.
Missed by many nieces, nephews & his furry companion, Molly.
Rick retired from Siemens after 35 years of Service. He enjoyed playing slowpitch with the local leagues, enjoyed golfing, fishing, hanging out at the Legion and spending time with friends & family. Rick & Mary Jane had a life of travel, traveling all over the continent together. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 2:00 - 5:00pm. Cremation to follow.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Rick.
