Obituary of June Marie Squires
RUSSELL-SQUIRES: June Marie (Parkyn) -
A resident of Fairfield Park in Wallaceburg, and formerly of Chatham, June Squires passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the age of 89.
Born in Chatham, June was the daughter of the late Edgar and Doris (Orton) Parkyn.
Predeceased by her husbands Glen Russell (2004) and Floyd Squires (2020), her daughter Wendy Spooner (2023) and granddaughter Michelle Russell (2021).
Loving and caring mother of Deb Pake, Goldwyn Russell, Dale Russell and Melody Gray.
Predeceased by son-in-law Randy Wright (2003).
Loving Grandma to Shawn, Carrie, Jeff, David, Tracy, Andrea, Kyle, Trevor and Danielle.
Great-Grandma to 12 great-grandchildren.
Dear sister to Patsy Peltier (late Bill), Jim Parkyn (late Eleanor), Gloria Abbott (late Bill). Predeceased by her siblings Joyce Huckle (late Neil) and Allan Parkyn.
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
June was an active member of the Community of Christ Church and the Moose Lodge in Chatham.
As per June's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 11:00am until the Celebration of her life at 12:00pm.
Donations made in memory of June to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
