RUSSELL: Edith "Edie" (Ceasar) -
A resident of Blenheim, Edie Russell passed away at Meadow Park Nursing Home with her family at her side on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the age of 87.
Born in Englehart, ON Edie was the daughter of the late Percy and Nellie Ceasar.
Beloved wife of 63 years to the late James "Jim" Peter Russell (2015).
Loving mother of Peter, Steve (daughter-in-law Monica) and Michael Russell and Sylvia Galea (son-in-law Sam).
Grandma to Chrissy (husband Jeff), Courtney and Justine (fiance James). Great-grandmother to two great-grandchildren.
Dear sister to Paula Percy (brother-in-law Gary) and Judy Keffer (brother-in-law Carl).
Dear friend to Susan Hartman.
Also missed by many friends and extended family.
Edie enjoyed an interesting career, having her own mortgage business before working with her friend Susan as a housing administrator at Northward in Fort McMurray. She enjoyed gardening, but more than anything she enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her loving, nurturing nature.
As per Edie's wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will remember her privately.
Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Meadow Park for their exceptional care of our mother.
Edie's wish would be that donations made in her memory, go to the Alzheimer Society due to her beloved husband's illness in his life.
