Northcott: Jessie Irene (née McMillan) -
A resident of Chatham, Irene Northcott passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on April 4, 2023 at the age of 89.
Born in Keppel Township, Grey County, Irene was the daughter of the late Angus and Elizabeth (née Hills) McMillan.
Predeceased by her husbands Lorne Northcott (2010) and Arthur Ash (1994).
Dear mother to Terry Reed (Marlene), Brian Reed (Marlette), Karen Reed, David Reed (Jessie); step-mother to Cheryl Northcott and Michael Northcott.
Proud grandmother to Kathleen Loewen (Jeff), Colleen Usselman (Byron), Jonathan Pramberg (Carmen) Jonathan Reed and Alexander Reed. Great-grandmother to Freya, Solara and Kylo.
Dear sister to Laura Galbraith. Predeceased by her brother Tom McMillan and sisters Margaret Cameron and Marjorie Shipley.
Irene will also be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
A special thank-you is extended to Monique, Theresa and the staff at Grand Retirement Village for their tremendous care and concern shown to Irene.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until the service to celebrate Irene's life at 3:00 p.m. Interment at Boyd Cemetery, Shallow Lake at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Irene to the Chatham Christian Centre or Gideon Bibles would be appreciated by the family.
