Obituary of Edna Marie Smale
Smale: Edna Marie (Muckle) -
Edna Marie Smale, passed away on April 5, 2023.
Daughter of Gordon and Alfreda Muckle, she was married for 48 years to Bruce Smale. Dear sister to Ruth Pilbeam, Willeta and Norm Biddle, Beth and Mark Wright, Lillian and Eddy Rota, and David Muckle.
Predeceased by her husband Bruce Smale, brother-in-law Tom Pilbeam, and niece Victoria Rota. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends.
Marie was a retired teacher, she had a love for music, and was a pianist at Ridge Community Church. She also attended many country jamborees. She created the Historical Toy and Doll Society of Southwestern Ontario and was widely recognized as a toy and doll historian. Her and her husband enjoyed attending car shows and meeting with friends at McDonalds.
A Memorial Visitation will take place at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at 1:30 pm until a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm.
Donations made in memory of Edna to Community Living, Heart & Stroke, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
