Lankhof, Hendrikje "Henny" (nee Timmerman)
It is with great sadness that the family of Hendrikje "Henny" Lankhof (nee Timmerman) announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age 94.
Born in the Netherlands, she was the daughter of the late Martines & Jantje (nee Nymeiyer) Timmerman.
Henny is reunited in heaven with her husband of 62 years, Gerhard Willem Lankhof (2014).
Remembered always by her sons, William Lankhof (Lorna), the late Matthew Lankhof (1993) (Audrey), Gerry Lankhof (Christine) & John Lankhof (Brenda).
Grandmother of Ryan Lankhof (Alison), Phil Lankhof (Lisa), Adam Lankhof (Sharlene), Sarah Lankhof, Benjamin Lankhof, Nathan Lankhof (Tiffany), Daniel Lankhof (Emily) and Kadee Rowe (Jacob).
Great-grandmother of Lily, Nolan, Avery, Jocelyn, Willem, & Jasper.
Predeceased by her siblings, Kees Timmerman, Alice Pietens (the late Lambert), Jake Timmerman and sister-in-law Leida Veldboom (the late Bill).
Survived by her sister-in-laws, Jessie Timmerman and Jean Timmerman and brother-in-law, John Lankhof (Nancy).
Missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and all of her friends at Elm Street.
Henny was an avid gardener, who took great pride in her flowers. She loved knitting vests for babies for Canadian Food for Children and bandaids for the Leprosy Society. Henny was a devoted member of First Christian Reformed Church and had a deep faith with God. Her grandchildren & great-grandchildren were the delights of her life and she enjoyed spending time with each of them.
Family to receive friends on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 9:30 am until the Service time of 11:00 am at First Christian Reformed Church, 25 Tweedsmuir Ave West, Chatham. Burial in Maple Leaf Cemetery to follow.
In memory of Henny, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of ones choice.
