Obituary of Kenneth Owen Dunlop

Dunlop: Kenneth Owen -

A lifelong resident of Chatham-Kent, Kenneth Dunlop peacefully passed away at home with his family at his side on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the age of 81.

Born in Chatham, Ken was the son of the late Owen and Mabel (Hoyles) Dunlop.

Beloved husband of 61 years to Faye Dunlop (nee Fisher).

Loving father of Dale Dunlop (Sally) of Ridgetown, Brian Dunlop (Karen) of Morpeth and Susan Dunlop of Chatham.

Proud Grandpa to Ryan Dunlop (Candace), Jordan Dunlop (Christina), Carly McKillop (Kirk), Jennifer Dunlop (Shawn Flannigan), and Austin Riddell.

Pop to Owen and Linden.

Brother to Shirley Pilon (late Dave).

Predeceased by his siblings Dean Dunlop and Jean Leitch.

Brother-in-law to Bob Fisher (Cheryl) of Bothwell.

Dearly missed by his canine companion of 13 years, Katie.

Ken worked as a millwright, having worked at Motor Wheel in Chatham, Standard Tube in Blenheim and eventually retiring from Dresden Industries in Rodney.

Ken liked to keep busy. He could fix anything, and enjoyed teaching his skills to his family. He had a great time wintering in Florida with Faye.

Ken will be remembered as a great husband, father and grandfather.

As per Ken's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Family Celebration of Life will be held.
