Obituary of Jill Nussey
A resident of Tilbury, Jill Nussey passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, one day shy of her 62nd birthday.
Daughter of Robert Reid and the late Shirley (nee Gardiner).
Remembered always by her husband, Jim Nussey and her three daughters; Jhislaine Nussey-Loosemore (Morgan), Jannah Nussey (Brent) and Robbie Nussey-Lemire (Phil).
Proud granny of Stella, Reid, Gage, Lycan, Clark & Crosby. Step-grandmother of Brooklyn & Olivia.
Sister of the late Kim Reid (Lucy).
Daughter-in-law of Lyle & Eileen (nee Sovie) Nussey and sister-in-law of Barb McKay (Kim), Kevin Nussey (Nicole) and the late Allan Nussey.
Missed by her nieces & nephews, the late Justin, Brandon, Alyshia, Lyle, Olivia & Adele.
Dearly remembered by her beloved furry companion, Ivy.
Jill graduated from St. Clair College as a Registered Nurse. She worked for Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit for 18 years before moving to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, starting with Wallaceburg and retiring in Chatham in July 2022. She was extremely passionate about her career and made life-long friends, who she traveled to many places with.
She was active in Valetta Presbyterian Church as an Elder and a devoted member. Jill enjoyed crafting, gardening, knitting and baking. Her oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies will be missed. She was a lover of all animals. Jill raised her three beautiful girls and loved being a grannie to her grandchildren.
Jill was the glue of the family, making sure everyone was taken care of and her caring nature will be missed sorely.
Family to receive friends on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday at the Funeral Home with burial in Stewart Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.
In memory of Jill, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or to the Chatham-Kent Animal Rescue.
