Obituary of Emily Van Boven
Van Boven: Emilenne "Emily" (nee Cooman) -
A resident of Blenheim, and formerly of Chatham, Emily Van Boven passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the age of 94.
Born in Kerksken, Belgium, Emily was the daughter of the late Henrie and Margaret (nee VanKaymuelen) Cooman.
Beloved wife of the late Phil Van Boven.
Loving mother of Walter Van Boven (Deborah) of Highgate, Ed Van Boven (Donna) of Blenheim, Rita Bellan of Calgary.
Proud Grandma of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also missed by her family in Belgium.
Emily loved to dance with her husband in Belgium, and could be found frequenting Legion dances well into her 80's.
As per Emily's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Private Family Interment will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Emily to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
