Lubbers: Edith (née Regts) -
A resident of Chatham, Edith Lubbers passed away at the Tilbury Manor Nursing Home on May 9, 2023 at the age of 85.
Born in Oranjewod, Freisland, Edith was the daughter of Case and Harriet (née Doosje) Regts.
Reunited with her beloved husband Rev. John Lubbers (2004).
Dear mother to Greg Lubbers (Tanya), Heather Wilson, and Cindy Van Acker (Robin). Loving grandmother of 9, great-grandmother of 16, and great great grandmother of 7. She will be missed by her 5 surviving brothers and their families. She is predeceased by 1 grandson, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Edie and Rev. John Lubbers were the founders of Praise Fellowship church, creating a lasting legacy of hope in the community. She will be missed by her extended church family.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 459 St.Clair Street, Chatham on Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Praise Fellowship Church, 165 Park Ave E, Chatham from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service to celebrate Edith's life at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Edith to the Praise Fellowship Soup Kitchen would be appreciated by the family.
