Obituary of Ron Boivin

Boivin, Ronald Eugene

A resident of Chatham, Ron Boivin passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, May 26, 2023 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice. 

Born on August 19, 1947 to the late Vital & Mildred (nee Robinson) Boivin. 

Remembered always by his wife of 55 years, Janet (nee Wilcox), daughter, Jennifer Johnston (Marc) & son, Jeff Boivin. 

Papa of Logan & Olivia Johnston. 

Missed by his furry friends, Rascal, Shadow, Jetta and Sadie. 

Brother of Marie Finn, Yvonne Moncar and brother-in-law of Shirley Fenton (Jack), Lois Moore (Bob), Jim Wilcox (Janet)

Predeceased by his brothers, Albert (2023) & Bill (2021) and brother-in-law, Larry Wilcox (the late Marg, 2022).

Survived by his sister-in-law, Betty Boivin & Marion Boivin. 

Missed by many nieces and nephews. 

Ron retired from Siemens after 10 years as a Supervisor. Prior to, working with Eaton Yale for 29 years. He was an avid golfer and a life-long Yankee Fan. Ron had immense pride in his lawn and enjoyed spending time in his pool. Ron will be dearly missed by many. 

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Chatham-Kent Hospice for their compassion and their hugs. Thank you to Miles from the VON for his nurturing care. 

Family to receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 12:00 pm. Cremation will follow. 

In memory of Ron, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
