Obituary of Larry George Sharratt

It is with a heavy heart the family of Larry Sharratt announce his passing on Monday, June 19, 2023.

Loved son of Kathleen Huiting (nee Osborne) (Egbert) and the late Lawrence Sharratt (1980).

Dear brother of Darlene Sennema (the late Edward, 1996) and the late Bill Sharratt (2017) (Starla).  Also step-brother to Dave Huiting (Barb).

Remembered by his nieces & nephews, Michael Sennema (Sonja), Nicholas Sennema (Raven), Natalie Meredith (Bret), Michelle Spencer (Mike), Jake Huiting (Lauren) and Rob Huiting (Katie).

Great-uncle to Jeremy & Zachary Spencer, Marissa & Madeline Meredith and Hadleigh Huiting.

Larry was an avid lover of many types of music and was known as an exceptional drummer. At the age of 5, he got his first set of cardboard drums. They did not last long. Then he got his new and improved drums at the age of 13. As he got a little older, he started playing in bands in California, Edmonton and Chatham. And by some friends inherited the name Boom Boom. Larry loved his cold beer and also had the nickname Sudsy. He also had a passion for bicycles. Many had the pleasure of seeing him traveling the streets of Chatham on his unique bikes which he took great pride in.

Larry was a stubborn, witty, caring and very private man with a heart of gold. He loved his family dearly. He will be missed by many other family members and friends.
