Obituary of Patricia Ilene Vince

Patricia Ilene Vince, a resident of Chatham, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at the age of 75. 

She will be reunited with her parents, the late Remi (2001) & Leona (nee DeVisscher, 1997) Van Damme.

Remembered always by her husband of 53 1/2 plus years, Wayne L. Vince and her son, Wayne Vince Jr (Susanne). 

Nana of Brittany, Zachary, & Micah. 

Sister of Pauline Houle (the late Jim), Helen Palocz (the late Gus), and Roy Van Damme (Patricia).

Predeceased by brother-in-law, Warren Houle. 

Missed by many nieces & nephews. 

Patricia grew up on the family farm. She retired after 37 1/2 years as a Medical Lab Technologist. Being a cancer survivor, she joined the Breast Buddies Dragon Boat Team. Pat was a devout Roman Catholic and was part of the Catholic Women's League and enjoyed the camaraderie with the ladies. In later life, she enjoyed her grandchildren immensely. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. 

The family would like to thank the staff of the Chatham-Kent Hospice for their compassionate care during Patricia's time there. 

Family to receive friends on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm & 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. A Funeral Liturgy of Patricia's life will take place at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 11:00 am. Burial to be in Dresden Cemetery. For those attending the Visiting & the Funeral, wearing masks are optional.
