Obituary of Brian Charles Crow

CROW: Brian Charles -

A lifelong resident of Pain Court, Brian Crow passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with his family at his side on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the age of 69.

Born in Chatham, Brian was the son of the late Marlene (née Crow) and stepson to the late Larry Massender.

Beloved husband of 48 years to Jacqueline (née Bélanger).

Cherished father to Jeff Crow (Lyne Béchard) of Hamilton and Jason Crow (Anna) of Belle River.

Proud Grandpa/Papa to Jules, Gabriella and Charlie.

Brother-in-law to the late Chuck Bélanger (Elaine), Claire Vickery (Dan), Denise Desrochers (Denis), Louise Aitken (Dan), Marie Cadotte and the late Diane Bélanger (Jim Britnell).

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Brian's passion was farming, and he farmed his whole life in Dover Township. He started at the Ethanol plant at its inception, and retired there after over 10 years of service.

Brian was a proud hockey Dad, and enjoyed the many friendships made through Chatham Minor Hockey. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his honesty and his ability to make others feel heard.

If you were privileged enough to be in Brian's inner circle, you felt his love, generosity and protection.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Brian's life will be held at McKinlay Reception Centre, 463 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 2:00 - 5:00pm. A Private Family interment will be held at Immaculée Conception Cemetery at a later date.
