Obituary of Sadie Postma

It is with the heaviest of hearts we said goodbye to our much loved mother, grandmother and Great grandma, Sadie Postma.

Sadie’s greatest joy was her family. She loved her children deeply and unconditionally. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren warmed her heart and soul she truly loved and cherished them.

She was born in Lollum, Friesland, Netherlands on October 03, 1934 to the late Renze & Hotske (Nydam) Vandersluis.

Loving wife of the late George (2016). Beloved mother of (the late) Irene Adach and Chris , Mike Postma and MaryLou, John Postma (the late) Cathy, Kate Postma, (the late) Barbara, Rick Postma and Debbie, Hank Postma, and Stephen Postma .

Grandmother of Michael Adach (Ann), Kirby & Curtis Campbell, Ricky & Alex Adach, Andrew & Stacey Adach, Shannon & Greg Quenneville, Deb & Nick Stefura, John & Christine Postma, Cory & Maria Chauvin, JoDee Chauvin (Jeremy) Sara & Troy Hurdis, Shelby Postma, Courtney Postma (Brandon)

Great-Grandmother of Claire, Grace, Ava, Easton, Audrey, Elliott, Max, Morgan, Kennadie, Brandon, Justin, Nathan, Marissa, Zach, Zayde, Carly, Ashley, Ceci, Ari, George and Fredrick.

Sadie was one of fourteen children and is survived by her sister Irene Wolting. She was predeceased by his sisters Louise VanDyke, Gertie Wagner and Wietske Hamberg and by her brothers Klaas, Michel, Friedrich, Cornelus, Otto, Eise, Henry, Mike and Flip VanderSluis.

At Sadie’s request the family will privately celebrate her life and mourn her loss.

Donations in memory of Sadie may be made to the London Health Sciences Centre Foundation - NICU or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
