Obituary of Bernard MacNeil
MacNeil: Bernard Francis -
A resident of Chatham, Bernard MacNeil passed away at Riverview Gardens on August 16, 2023 at the age of 77.
Born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Bernard was the son of the late Frank and Jessie (née MacDonald) MacNeil.
Loving father to Stuart MacNeil and Lesley (Rod) MacNeil.
Brother to Donald MacNeil, Ray MacNeil, Anne MacNeil.
Bernard had a distinguished career in the mutual insurance industry as General Manager of the Kent and Essex Farmers Mutual and chairman of the board for the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association. A generous and charitable soul, he was loved by family, friends and neighbors alike. Bernard will be missed by all.
In keeping with Bernard's wishes cremation has taken place.
A memorial visitation in memory of Bernard will be held at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St.Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday August 26, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Donations made in memory of Bernard to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
